Dedicated to the Mooney M-18 Mite, "The Most Personal Airplane,"
and to supporting Mite owners everywhere.
Fifty years ago, Dick Williams of Copperas Cove, TX was on his way from Panama to Guatamala. He happened to land at Ilopango Airport in San Salvador, saw a Mooney Mite for the first time, and took this photo. We think this is S/N 280 which was also spotted by Sal Sanlley. The registration mark begins with the YS of El Salvador, but we cannot determine the final letters or numbers. There is a question as to whether there should be 3 or 4 letters and/or numbers. Can anyone help?
