This photo was submitted by Jerry Sorrell of Longview, WA, who sent us the following comments:

"I noted an article on N777XA which showed previous registration as N343M. This aircraft was bought new by either Hobart or Red Sorrell, my uncles. They each bought one, and the serial numbers may have been consecutive. My father Lloyd Sorrell, flew 343M in June 1953, as noted in his log book. All the Sorrell brothers have passed on but my cousins, John and Mark Sorrell are still in the airplane restoration and building business.

Here is an attachment of the Mooneys with the Meyers OTW. My dad owned the Meyers from 1954 to 1957, so that is a clue to the date. The photo was taken at Olympia, WA, airport."
