Mooney Mite N339M For Sale

N339M, S/N 220, 1950M-18C

Total time is 1450 hours on the airframe. Engine time is 309 hours since major. Photo

Asking price is $12,000

  • The annual is good until end of November 2005
  • Radio is a Microair 720 VHF Transceiver powered by a motorcycle battery.
  • Navigation is compass and a Garmin 95XL GPS powered by the same motorcycle battery. The battery will run the GPS for at least 50 hours of continuous use.
  • Engine is a Continental A-65, plus a 2nd disassembled run-out engine - good for an air boat. The engine in the airplane burns about a quart of oil in 9-10 hours. The exhaust system is stainless steel and in excellent condition. It has new heat intensifier springs in the heat muffs.
  • It has two Bendix magnetos and shielded harness.
  • Propeller is a Univair Flottorp wood prop. You also get a metal propeller in the unlikely event you land gear up.
  • A new wing was manufactured in 1981. You get all of the old parts from the old wing in case you decide to build another wing.
  • The left wing was chewed up by a Starduster biplane in 1982, and has been repaired. The tail group has all of the inspection holes in the tail as per a 337 and AD 79-11-05R1. Thank you Toney!
  • All of the wood is in good condition. The new wing wood looks like new. The original fuselage wood looks like original fuselage wood, darkened with age but no rot.
  • The fabric is Stits Poly Fiber installed in 1982. I have never tested it. The airplane has always been hangared since I have owned it. The last 20 years of its life it has lived in central Oregon.
  • The Brackett air filter has the Revision "H" box installed as per AD 96-09-06.
  • I have a library of all known service bulletins. (I think!)
  • The airplane comes with a special main gear retraction spring removal tool if you ever have to remove the springs.
  • It comes with a tool that is used to support the nose of the airplane when it is jacked up.
  • It comes with extra landing gear bushing and a list of bushing part numbers for when you have to re-bush the gear. They always seem to be worn.
  • The paint has been on the airplane since 1982 and is a little rough around the edges. It is Imron.

The reason that I am selling the bird is that I have too many airplanes. My hanger is filled up with the Mooney, Taylorcraft and an RV-8. Time to let someone else have it to fly.
