Does anyone know how long Mite brake cables should be? I'm getting ready to order up a set, but I need to know the overall length. Thanks.

Mike,
I can't stand it any more. This lonely request for simple information just has to be answered even though I already talked to you. If I post a wrong answer maybe someone will double check and tell me if I am wrong or if there are any differences in the length for different models. I dug out the only brake cable I can find and measured it. Mine is a -55 and it measures 102.5 inches from the attach hole in one clevis to the hole on the other end.
I sure hope that's right.

Has anyone tried hydralic brakes? Our mite brakes are antiquated junk. I have been searching for replacements and have found what i believe to be an answer. "www.beringer.fr". Their products are approved in europe and used on sailplanes. We would need FAA approval and I see no reason that can't done. They wheel sets are very expensive, but the quality appears to be top shelf. The wheels use tubeless tires, they would save weight, and they are down right pretty.

Wow, you weren't kidding when you said they were expensive! Looks like a couple of thousand dollars expensive! Thanks for the information, but I'm going to stick with properly rigged pedals, brand new control cables and relined brakes. My thought is that brakes brought up to new standard specs will work fine. But I guess we'll see, won't we? I'll have no one but myself to blame if they're not up to the task.
Thanks again,
