Hi Mite Folks,
I'm not sure I know what I'm doing here....This new format is pretty "HIGH TECH" for me, but here goes anyway!
Just wanted to remind owners and let new members know that I have an inventory of Mite parts as well as Lycoming O-145 parts available. Also the first set of remanufactured landing gear donuts has been delivered and installed. We will soon be having the next set made!

Hi Paul,
On the subject of a Lycoming O-145 B2 engine, I have one. It was the engine I took out of Mooneymite serial number 7 when I upgraded to a C 85 Continental. Bill Williams rebuilt this engine when he put the Mooneymite together before he flew it. The engine has all the logs back to when it was born in the Mite, and is a low time engine which was running well when I took it out of the airplane ( Bill was an A&P if I remember correctly ). I was impressed at what a bullet proof engine these Lycomings are after having flown behind this one for a while. I will say I never got the thing to quit leaking oil and after finding out what a gasket set cost, I was happy to just let it leak. In fact that was one of the reasons I upgraded to a later model engine is because of the high cost of replacing parts on this engine....at least that was my experiance. Eventually I believe Franklin took over and made parts, or maybe not. Everyone has stories to tell about it. Anyway the engine is stored in my hangar and is in good shape ( No mags or carb though ). I don't know what they sell for except for close to their weight in gold maybe. I was also told that I couldn't give it away if I tried!!? If you know anyone interested I can be reached through my e-mail. P.S. I'm not trying to give it away.
