Hi Folks, I Have started construction of a rather old and somewhat rare model kit of a Mooney Mite, It is by Lindbergh and is to 1/72 scale, the aircraft depicted in the model was registered N356A, have any of you good folks got any info in this aircraft that you could share, re- colours etc as the instructions are rather vague on this.
Cheers and all the best.

N356A is one of the Mites that disappeared early on. The Mite Site has no documentation or photos of this airplane. Since it is one of the early ones, number 17, the photos that Garry Gramman provided should give you some ideas: http://www.mooneymite.com/articles-history/factorypaintjobs.htm

Hi, Cheers for the reply and apologies about being late in answering, (comp trouble - had to get a replacement in the end - followed by a very busy time at college). I'll be using the silver scheme with possibly red cheatlines if no further information on N356A comes to light. I will of course post pics of the completed model on here for your critique when it's done :).
Many thanks.

A quick update.
I have managed to trace a nephew of this Mites original owner and he has confirmed details and sent pictures of the aircraft that will certainly help with making the model. Unfortunatly as the pictures are his copyright I can not post them up for you to see but they certainly show N356A in a standard Mooney scheme. Chers for all your help. The model is now being built and I will post pictures when it is done.
All the best.
Greg
