Does anyone have any photographs of the specific routing of the fuel line from the main fuel tank, through the fuel shut off valve, through the firewall to the gascolator and to the carburetor?

Attached are a series of ten photos showing the routing of the fuel line from the tank to the gascolator. Most of the pictures are before restoration and show the line as originally installed by Mooney. They used a copper tubing wrapped with what appeared to be friction tape. There are three lengths of this tubing. One from the rubber hose that joins it to the fitting on the tank bottom to the selector valve, another from the selector valve to a few inches aft of the firewall l where it again is joined by rubber hose to a piece of copper tubing that passes through the firewall and has a copper plate attached with two holes for PK screws to secure to the firewall and then makes a 90 degree bend and passes across the firewall to another piece of hose and to the gascolator.

It should be a relatively easy job to get a field approval to use a modern flexible hose instead of the copper tubing. The only problem will be attaching the hose to the fittings on the selector valve which are not the type normally used in present day aircraft.

I'll have to make two posts to be able to include all the pictures as each post is limited to 5 pictures.
