My airplane came standard with a 9.7 gallon fuel tank but my good friend Scott Royall graciously loaned me his spare 15 gallon unit. I had to modify the fuselage with a pair of false longerons and a third mounting strap to carry the 100+ pounds that a full tank will weigh.
Once I get the tank permanently mounted, the fuselage will will be ready to be mounted to the cockpit section.

Mike,

Was nice to see you in Santa Paula. Sam said out of the 10 planes he soloed, he liked the Mite the best! Two weeks later the locals here planned a lunch trip to Santa Paula so I took the Mite. Made a full throttle run from Lompoc to SP (71 NM) it took 34 minutes! Let Sam fly it around for 15 minutes or so and he offered to buy the gas: 4.2 gallons!! I love this airplane.

I am really impressed with your work on your Mite. I wish I had the time and patients to do that kind of detail to mine but I'm too busy flying it! ( I’ve put 50 hours on it since May)

See you this May if not sooner.
