I drove out to Arizona last month and bought a set of exhaust pipes from Ray Allen. They needed a little work and the hardest part of the experience was finding some Inconel welding rod. Inconel is a brand name of the International Nickel Company and hard to find where I live. But Haynes International sells a rod that goes by the name Hastelloy and is the equivalent of Inconel. I rewrapped the heat exchangers with new springs from McMaster-Carr, p/n: 9662K16. 5 springs per package, one package per heat exchanger. I bought new stainless steel exhaust flanges from Aircraft Spruce and turned down some inch and half OD stainless steel tubing and welded up a new set of exhaust stacks.
Here's a couple of pictures with the pipes temporarily installed.

Hey Mike,
That exhaust looks great. How did you get it so bright? I can tell the rest of your plane is looking just as nice. Can't wait to see you flying it.

I cleaned out my glass bead blast cabinet and filled it with brand new blast media before I put the final finish on the pipes. New glass beads make all the difference.
